Death of Mrs. Cunningham

In the death of Mrs. Sophronia Elizabeth Cunningham, which occurred at the Cunningham home near Planada last Saturday evening. Merced county loses another of its most highly respected pioneer woman.

The deceased was a native of Missouri and was aged 76 years. She was the widow of the late James Cunningham, who died about five years ago, and had been a resident of Merced county since the early 50's.

She is survived by four children, Emma T. and Charles Cunningham and Mrs. M.E. Massengale of Merced county and Mrs. Oldham of Santa Cruz. She was a much esteemed member of the community and she will be missed by a large number of friends and acquaintances.
