Elva J. Berry Dies In Stockton

Elva J. Berry, 86, Stockton, the father of Mrs. Jennie Wass of Merced, died Thursday in Stockton.

Mr. Berry who was a native of Illinois, had been ill for a long time. He resided for 50 years in Merced County.

He leaves three other daughters, Mrs. Laura Farnell, Le Grand, Mrs. Grace Seltzer, Palo Alto, and Mrs. Emma Alvord, San Francisco; two sons, Jay Earl, Stockton, and Ernest Young, Fort Jones; and a sister, Lois Clute, Butte, Neb.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Hann Brothers Chapel with the Rev. Donald Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in the Plainsburg Cemetery.
