Obituary

 

 Died at her home in Merced, Friday, August 1st, Mary Elizabeth Baldwin, wife of Andrew Baldwin formerly a resident of this place, now of Merced.

 

 Mary Elizabeth Wood was born in Black Hawk County, Iowa, Nov. 26, 1856 and died in Merced, Cal. Aug. 1, 1913.

 

 She was married to Andrew M. Baldwin Oct. 17, 1880, at Waterloo, Iowa. To this union there were born four children, Mrs. Stella M. Thompson, Harvey J. Baldwin and Rosalie Baldwin, of Merced, and Chester A. Baldwin of Dayton, Ohio, all of whom were present at the death and funeral of their mother.

 

 They lived in Black Hawk Co., Iowa until 1909 when they moved to Merced Co., Cal. locating at Dos Palos where they remained one year after which they moved to Merced where they have since resided. Funeral services were held at the family residence in Merced, Sunday, Aug. 3, interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Merced.
