MRS. JULIA BRANDON PASSED AWAY HERE

Funeral services were held this afternoon at Ivers and Alcorn chapel for Mrs. Julia Ann Brandon who passed away Wednesday at her home on Twelfth street in Merced. Rev. David McMartin officiated at the service attended by many relatives and friends.

Born in Illinois in 1851, Mrs. Brandon first came to Merced in 1885 where she and her husband Amberson, who passed away several years ago, resided. They then moved to Stockton where Mrs. Brandon remained two years after her husbandís death, before moving back to Merced eighteen years ago.

Of the eleven children born to Mr. and Mrs. Brandon, nine survive. Two sons, Myron and Lloyd are dead.

Mrs. Brandon leaves four daughters, Mrs. J. T. Flanagan of El Nido, Mrs. E. T. Cunningham of LeGrand, Mrs. J. R. Baxter of Merced, and Mrs. Leslie A. Kahl of Le Grand, and five sons, Howard Brandon of Fresno, Roger M. Brandon of Stock________________________________, R. C. Brandon of Le Grand, and Horace Brandon of Stockton
