Pioneer Resident Succumbs in Sacramento Hospital

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning in Christian Church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock for Elizabeth Rachel Cline, 78, pioneer resident, who died in a Sacramento hospital Friday. Rev. Hoffman Hurley officiated at the service and burial was in the family plot at the Dos Palos Cemetery.

Elizabeth Cline was born October 20, 1868, in Nebraska. she had been a resident of Dos Palos for the past 41 years. Her husband, the late John Cline, a rancher in this community, preceding her in death six years ago.

Surviving are four sons, John of Escalon, George of Napa, Arthur of Marysville, and Walter of Merced; five daughters, Mrs. Annie Lang of Powell, Wyo., Mrs. Alice Boone of Elko, Nev., Mrs. Mattie Medlin of Sacramento, Mrs. Nellie Gooch and Mrs. Dorothy Casey of Marysville.

A sister is Mrs. Emma Preston of Nebraska. Also surviving are thirty grandchildren.

The Whitehurst Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
