FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. CROSBY

Funeral services, at which the Rev. Douglas Ewan officiated, were held in the Plainsburg cemetery Monday morning for Mrs. Emily Crosby who passed away last Sunday in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Mrs. Crosby, who was a member of the pioneer Turner family of the Le Grand section, was born in this county seventy-three years ago and spent her early life here. She was the widow of the late Henry Crosby, who for many years was a prominent Merced county grain farmer, and who passed away in 1932. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Vetterle of Capitola and Mrs. O. D. Hobbs of Fresno, and three brothers, B. C. H. Turner of Modesto, J. L. Turner of Le Grand and W. C. Turner of Oakland.
