Obituaries

 

 Mrs. Viola M. Dow

 

 MODESTO -- Funeral services will be held in Mission Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home in Merced Tuesday at 11 a.m. for Mrs. Viola May Dow, 73, who died here Friday.

 

 Mrs. Dow was the dietary cook at Merced General Hospital 27 years and had resided in Merced 45 years prior to moving here eight years ago.

 

 Rev. Jack Pettigrew of the First Christian Church of Merced will officiate and burial will be in the Merced IOOF Cemetery.

 

 Mrs. Dow was born in Kansas.

 

 She leaves two sons, Merwin Baldwin of Modesto and Dwight Baldwin of Portland, Ore. three daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Kaiser of Madera, Mrs. Velde Brown of Ohio and Mrs. Mary Hancock of San Mateo.
