Terry Flanagan, 63, died Saturday, October 5, 2002, in Fresno.
Mr. Flanagan was born in Oakland on September 9, 1939. He grew up in Chowchilla, attending local schools. He graduated from Chowchilla Union High School in 1958. He excelled in sports, playing varsity football from his sophomore year on. He medaled many times in swimming and diving. He attended Fresno State. He was a field manager for Kaprielian Bros. Co. in Reedley. Mr. Flanagan enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially liked swimming with his children and grandchildren. He was football enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sherry Flanagan of Fresno; one son, Rex Flanagan of Fresno; two daughters, Tracy Flanagan King of San Francisco, Debbie Flanagan Ross of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; his parents, Tom and Roberta Flanagan of Chowchilla; two brothers, Dan Flanagan and Clancy Flanagan both of Chowchilla; five sisters, Leslie Dowling of Bakersfield. Bridget Flanagan of Portland, Oregon, Kay Flanagan-Spinelli of Merced, Molly Flanagan-Littlefield of Kent, Washington, and Peggy Flanagan-Priest of Merced.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 10, at Belmont Memorial Park in Fresno.
