Miss Hannah K. Gray, for many years a highly respected resident of this community, passed away Tuesday morning at her home on Oakdale road near this city.

Miss Gray, who was a sister of the late John Gray, for many years a well-known Merced county grain farmer, was a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and was born March 4, 1854.

During her residence of twenty-five years in Merced county she was an active member of the Central Presbyterian Church and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.

Surviving relatives are a brother in Halifax, a sister in Boston and several nieces and nephews residing in various sections of California.

Funeral services, at which the Rev. Henry T. Babcock of Los Angeles, a former pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church of this city, officiated, were held in the Welch & Griffin chapel yesterday afternoon, and interment was in the family plot in Asphodel cemetery.
