GUS KUHLEMEIER FUNERAL MONDAY

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday for August "Gus" E. Kuhlemeier, who would have been 67 years of age Dec. 30 this year. Burial was in Hills Ferry Cemetery. Members of the Hills Ferry Masonic Lodge, No. 236, and Romero Lodge No. 413, IOOF, officiated.

"Gus," as he was affectionately known to his many friends, died Saturday morning following a short illness.
He was a native of Denmark and had lived in California some 62 years. He had been a resident of Gustine for 39 years.
On March 31 of this year, he retired from the Borden Co. plant here where he was chief engineer. He had been with Borden for 35 years. He was also the electrical inspector for the City of Gustine since early 1940.

He was an active member of the Hills Ferry Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners, and Romero Lodge, IOOF.

Gus is survived by his widow, Hester: two brothers, William and Neils both of Fresno, and four sisters, Mrs. Alma Waltz and Mrs. Anna Moon, both of Fresno, Mrs. Ella Neilson of Sacramento, and Mrs. Martha Simmons of Long Beach.

The family has requested that any remembrances be made to the contributor's choice.
