MERCED CORONER

DIES SUDDENLY

MERCED, Dec. 31.–The body of Dr. Adam L. C. H. Kylberg, 69, Merced County coroner and public administrator for four years, was brought here to-day following his sudden death in San Francisco during a week-end visit.

Dr. Kylberg, widely-known physician of this district since 1900 and assemblyman from Merced and Mariposa Counties in 1917-18 will be buried on January 2nd.

A native of Sweden, Dr. Kylberg, whose full name was Adam Lorentius Christian Hjalmar Kylberg, served as a seaman for five years and was educated in London and San Francisco

He belonged to the Mariposa Masonic Lodge and for ten years was inspector of the Masonic district comprising Mariposa, Merced and Stanislaus counties. For six years he was secretary of the Merced County Medical Association. He was a member of the Merced Chapter of Royal Arch Masons and the Modesto Commandery of Knights Templars.

Dr. Kylberg was a past exalted ruler of the Merced Lodge of Elks. The flag on the Elks Building was lowered to half mast in his honor to-day.

Supervisors To Name Successor

He was elected county coroner and public administrator in 1930 and re-elected this year and was to have begun his second term January 7th. A successor will be appointed by the board of supervisors.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Ivers and Alcorn Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock. Rev. W. H. Hawken of St. James Episcopal Cathedral, Fresno, will deliver the eulogy and Rev. W. A. Cash of the Merced Episcopal Church will conduct the funeral service.

He leaves a widow in Merced and his son and brother in Fresno.
