F. A. LAGOMARSINO DIES IN MERCED

Frederick A. Lagomarsino, native of Snelling and retired businessman of Merced, died last night at Mercy hospital. He had been in failing health several years. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic church, with the Rev. Father Joseph Howard officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen mausoleum.

Lagomarsino leaves three sisters, Mary Lagomarsino and Josie Lagomarsino of Merced, and Mrs. J. Faubel of San Francisco. He was a retired pioneer member of the Merced volunteer fire department, having been awarded a diamond medal for his service several years ago. He was a member of the local Yosemite parlor of Native Sons of the Golden West.

Lagomarsino was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lagomarsino. Merced county pioneers who settled near Snelling in the early 60's. The family moved to Merced more than 50 years ago. He operated a soda works business here until a few years ago. The past six years he had spent his time between Merced and Snelling, attending extensive property interests here and the Lagomarsino ranch at Snelling.
