PIONEER WOMAN DIES NEAR VOLTA
Mrs. Josefa Moreno, beloved wife of Antone Moreno, died at her home near Volta Thursday after an illness covering a period of seven years. She had been suffering from tuberculosis of the bones.
She was aged 55 years and lived in the vicinity of Volta in the neighborhood of 25 years. She leaves a husband and seven children, three boys and four girls. They are Antone, Jr., Lorenzo and Samuel, and Mrs. Theodore Soto, Misses Emma, Louisa and Isabelle Moreno.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Catholic church in this city, the services to be in charge of the pastor, Rev. Father Labellegay. The remains will be interred in the Los Banos cemetery.
