Elma Moxley Dies In L.A.

The death of Miss Elma Moxley of Los Angeles, formerly of Merced, occurred Monday at Queen of the Angles Hospital in Los Angles. Funeral arrangements are pending at Ivers and Alcorn Mission Chapel.

Miss Moxley, sister of the late Lillian Moxley Casad of Merced, came to Merced from Missouri in 1902 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Moxley, who preceded her in death. Her brothers, Roy and Martin also are deceased.

She had been a teacher in Los Angles city schools from 1912 until her retirement in 1942. She was graduated from College of the Pacific at Stockton and State Teacher's College at Santa Barbara. She also taught for a time in Merced County. She had been a patient at the hospital for eight months.

Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Casad left today for Los Angeles, called there by Miss Moxley's death.
