Marie Silman, Native Daughter, Dies In Hospital
 
 Mrs. Marie Ingalsbe Silman, 81, resident of Merced all her life, died Friday at Mercy Hospital.
 
 Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ames Ingalsbe, were one of the first ranchers near Hopeton. Mrs. Silman was born in Merced.
 
 She enjoyed singing, and was active in the Central Presbyterian Church choir. Mrs. Silman was an original member of the Merced Music Club which later became the Merced Woman's Club.
 
 She married Archibald L. Silman, member of another early Merced County family, in 1902. Mr. Silman died June 30, 1957. He was the county probation officer from 1911 to 1953.
 
 Mrs. Silman leaves two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Tiffany of Merced, who is assistant probation officer, and Mrs. Marie Lamont of Menlo Park; a foster daughter, Mrs. Louise Edmunds, Washington, D. C.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Barbara Tiffany Thompson of Merced, and a sister, Mrs. Floss Law of Merced.
 
 Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ivers and Alcorn Mission Chapel by the Rev. Charles Hoffmeister. Cremation will follow at the Evergreen Crematory.
