TURNER, Joseph
 Merced Express, March 15, 1919
 
Joseph Le Grand (sic) Turner, a well known pioneer resident of Merced county,  died at his home at Le Grand on Friday of last week after an illness of  but a few days, death being due to the infirmities of old age. The deceased was a native of Missouri, aged 86 years. He had loved in this  county since his boyhood, having followed farming for practically his whole life. He is survived by the following sons and daughters; B. C. H.  Turner, Modesto: William Turner, Oakland; Joseph Turner, Le Grand; Mrs.  Bertha Vetterle, Santa Cruz; Mrs. Emma Crosby, Modesto; Mrs. Henry Poor,  Oakdale; Mrs. Oda Hobbs, Fresno. Funeral services were held at Le Grand  Saturday and interment was made in the Plainsburg cemetery.
