DAVID L. ELLIS DIES AT MERCED HOME

David L. Ellis, 61, pioneer Merced resident and the father of Neil Ellis and Mrs. Chester Moore of Fresno died at his home in Merced yesterday following an illness of about two weeks.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Leila Ellis of Merced, he leaves another son, Lee Ellis, of Merced; four brothers, James Ellis, Maxwell; Sam K. Ellis, Fresno; John Ellis, New York, and Harry Ellis, Selma; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bugan, Mrs. Alpha Terrill and Mrs. Elizabeth Tibbs, all of Selma; a grandson, Neil Ellis, Jr. Fresno, and a brother-in-law, J. J. Robinson [sic] of Fresno.

Funeral services will be held at the Welch and Griffin Undertaking Parlor in Merced, Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. The body will be brought to Fresno for burial in the Odd Fellows plot at Mountain View Cemetery.
